Web of Science on trial through June 30, 2008

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to Thomson Scientific's Web of Science. Databases included in the trial are Science Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index. These databases provide indexing and abstracting for several thousand academic and technical journals, with coverage beginning in 1975. Web of Science databases provide cited reference searching, which allows users to find articles that reference any particular article.

Global Road Warrior on trial until April 18, 2008

Global Road Warrior is a database of information related to countries. Though described as "the ultimate business travel guide," it is more that just a business resource. It contains much of the same information found in the Library's other country database, Country Watch. What makes it different is the inclusion of practical information for travelers, such as pictures of currency, information on transportation, and cultural information such as social etiquette, customs and even superstitions.
