The Meriam Library has been given trial access to Cabell's Directories. Cabell's Directories help professor's, graduate students and researchers identify the best academic journals for publishing their research. Each journal title entry in the directories includes contact information, details about the review process, publication information, and details on manuscript preparation.

Business Expert Press ebooks on trial through January 30, 2013

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to a collection of Business Expert Press ebooks. The trial includes ebooks published in 2011 and 2012. Business Expert Press (BEP) is a relatively young publisher, having been established in 2008. BEP ebooks are written by college professors for advanced business and MBA students. Each ebook offers a concise, practical curriculum oriented treatment of real-life business experiences.

EBSCO Ebooks on trial through Nov. 3, 2012.

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to the EBSCO Ebooks Academic Subscription Collection. This database contains over 83,000 ebooks from a long list of University Presses and academic publishers covering all subjects. All ebooks in the collection allow multiple simultaneous users, and can be downloaded to be read offline on a computer, or on a variety of portable devices using the BlueFire app.

Ebrary Academic Complete ebook collection on trial through Oct. 20, 2012.

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to the Ebrary Academic Complete collection of ebooks. This database contains over 77,000 ebooks from a long list of University Presses and academic publishers covering all subjects. All ebooks in the collection allow multiple simultaneous users, and can be downloaded to be read offline on a computer, or on an Android or Apple device.

Rock's Backpages on trial through September 20, 2012.

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to Rock's Backpages. This is an online archive of full-text articles written by popular music's best known journalists from the past and present. The articles are taken from prominent popular music publications, and cover all genres of popular music from the 1950's to the present. Included are over 20,000 articles, as well as over 300 audio interviews with leading artists.

Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context on trial for 2012

The Meriam Library has been given a year-long trial to Gale Opposing Viewpoints in Context. This is a relatively new database that brings together a wide variety of data supporting opposing viewpoints on current social issues. It includes thousand of pro/con essays, topic overviews, statistics and tables, articles, and images, as well as primary source documents, podcasts, and biographies of social activists.

Access Engineering on trial through November 8

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to McGraw-Hill's Access Engineering collection of ebooks. The ebooks included in the collection are derived from McGraw-Hill's print list of titles, including classic titles such as Mark's Standard Handbook of Mechanical Engineers, Perry's Chemical Engineer's Handbook, Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain, and many others.

World Bank eLibrary on trial through November 30.

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to World Bank eLibrary. This database hosts over 6,000 ebooks, journals and reports published by the World Bank. A detailed description of this database can be found in the FAQ.

ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Source on trial through Nov. 2

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Source. This database is similar to the Library's CINAHL Plus with Full Text database -- both databases index over 1,000 journals and provide full-text coverage to most of them, and both also provide evidence based care information. ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Source differs in that it provides Medcom produced training videos.
