There are several examples in recent news of conservative local and state officials taking aim both at specific titles and broad categories of books that deal with race, gender, or sexuality. This is an opportunity to discuss censorship and civic engagement in an informed way, making space for space for our rights and responsibilities as civic participants.

As you return to the rhythm of campus, make sure to snag a postcard from Meriam Library Research Commons. If you complete it with a message to someone who helped you get to campus this semester (a former mentor, teacher, guardian, or loved one), bring it back, FULLY ADDRESSED and 

Meriam Library will mail it to them for you!

Visit the first floor of the Meriam Library for games, food, and swag.
