Library Research Help for Students Online

Though the environment is a bit different than usual, librarians at Meriam Library want our campus partners to know that we are prepared and committed to continue serving the Chico State community. To ensure our students have a continuous and successful online learning experience, we’re providing many of our traditional services online, as well as new opportunities for students to interact with a librarian for research assistance, class and group instruction, or for individual assistance.

Meriam Library Resources and Support for Online Instruction

The Meriam Library is dedicated to assisting students and faculty as we move to an online teaching environment. There are several actions that we have taken to ensure reference and research assistance, as well as Information Literacy instruction can continue to be provided.

Meriam Library Candygraphic

Ever wonder how many people visit the library in a year (1,148,865),  or how many computers we have (187) or how many group study rooms (30) or participants in library instruction (4,060) or where we borrow inter library materials (see world map on display).  All this and more currently on display on the second floor in CANDY form. Us library peeps here to help you succeed at Chico State.

New Archivist in Special Collections

We are pleased to welcome Archivist, Stefani Baldivia to our Meriam Library Special Collections team. Stefani hails to us from Arcata where she held a similar position. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Humboldt State University in Native American Studies and a Master’s degree of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. She grew up in the college town of Redlands where her father worked at University of Redlands. She loves Chico’s tree lined streets and weather as it is reminiscent of her hometown. Please come by and say hello.
