Effective with the Spring 2018 semester, all Group Study Rooms on the 2nd & 3rd Floors can be reserved by students.

The Meriam Library is pleased to offer extended operating hours during the last two weeks of the semester, beginning Monday, December 4. All four floors of the library will be open until 1:45am on the weekdays, in addition to longer hours the weekend before exams.
Monday, December 4 - Thursday, December 7: 7:30am – 1:45am
Friday, December 8: 7:30am – 7:45pm
Saturday, December 9: 10:00am – 7:45pm
Sunday, December 10: 10:00am – 1:45am
At Meriam Library, we love to discover new information. While we have plenty of peer-reviewed articles and scholarly research on hand, we also want answers to questions such as:

Ever wonder how many people visit the library in a year (1,148,865), or how many computers we have (187) or how many group study rooms (30) or participants in library instruction (4,060) or where we borrow inter library materials (see world map on display). All this and more currently on display on the second floor in CANDY form. Us library peeps here to help you succeed at Chico State.
Meriam Library is committed to inclusion. We now have two all gender restrooms located on the third floor, North of the elevator.
Meriam Library Third Floor is designated for silent solitary study or relaxation. We added some signage to help maintain the peace and quiet. Go on, indulge in the silence.
Facilities Management and Services recently completed the installation of new automated, touchless paper towel and soap dispensers, as well as new toilet paper dispensers in the Meriam Library restrooms over the Winter Break. Accordingly, we are very interested in receiving comments regarding these new products and have created a survey.
FMS welcomes input from the campus community to help in this evaluation that will help determine the success of the project and development of a plan for further installations.
