The rich visual heritage of northeastern California is documented in over 18,000 historical photographs, many dating from the nineteenth century and representing a wide variety of early photographic processes. This extensive collection is a result of gifts and loans from individuals, historical organizations, as well as public and private agencies.  Reproductions are available for a fee.

New additions to the Library's historical photograph and image collections can be found at the CSU Chico Digital Collections page.
