Día de los Muertos Marigold Garland

Join us for a special workshop exploring Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a meaningful cultural tradition celebrated throughout Mexico and in many Latino communities. We’ll share a brief introduction to the history and traditions of Día de los Muertos and learn about the significance of cempasúchil (marigolds), whose bright colors and distinctive fragrance are traditionally used to honor and remember loved ones. After the presentation, get creative and make your own decorative cempasúchil garland using dyed coffee filters and twine. You’ll leave with a handmade craft to take home and a deeper appreciation for the traditions, symbolism, and spirit of Día de los Muertos -- ¡Todos son bienvenidos!
