Boro is a Japanese mending and patchwork technique used to extend the life of clothing by layering scraps of fabric over worn or torn areas and stitching them in place, often with sashiko (a type of running stitch). In this workshop, additional techiniques will be demonstrated to get that perfectly imperfecty repair! Join us to learn the fundamentals of this art form and be sure to bring in a piece of clothing you would like to repair! We will provide material, needles, and embroidery thread along with some personal pieces to illustrate the art behind the fix.
