CRC Press eBooks on trial through Dec. 31, 2010

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to CRCnetBASE, which is the online site hosting CRC Press publications in ebook form. CRC Press is a premier publisher of essential reference works covering a broad range of science and technology subjects --  from the social sciences, life sciences and mathematics to physical sciences and engineering.

Library 4th Floor Open September 13th

The Library 4th Floor will reopen on September 13th, including access to the Computer Lab. The University and the Contractor are aware of some challenges with the new carpet and are working to remedy the situation as soon as possible.

Library Fourth Floor Closed

The Library 4th Floor will be closed until September 13th while new carpet is being installed. If you need something from the Government Document, Juvenile, Curriculum, or Map Collection, please ask at the Circulation desk and we will try and retrieve it for you. Please be aware however that items may not be available if the carpet installers are working in that area at the time of your request.

Cold Spring Harbor Protocols on trial through March 5, 2010

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to Cold Spring Harbor (CSH) Protocols. This is an online journal published by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, which teaches biomedical research techniques. CSH Protocols features research methods in cell, developmental and molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, protein science, computational biology, immunology, neuroscience and imaging.

What Treasures can be Found in Meriam Library Special Collections?

October is Archives Month and Meriam Library, Special Collections is celebrating with an exhibit “Celebrating Archives Month: Selections from Special Collections,” located on the second floor of the library, between the main staircase and the elevators. The exhibit features a replica of diseño of Rancho Arroyo Chico, 1846 with a hand drawn map by John Bidwell, Anti-Chinese League Minute Book, 1894-1895, brochures for Diamond Match homes, 1927, a hand written cookbook open to a recipe for marshmallow pudding, 1922-1937, historic photographs, scrapbooks, and much more.
