The Meriam Library is pleased to announce the online availability of the journal Science. Science is one of the world's leading journals on scientific research. For several years, we have had online access to back issues of Science in JSTOR, which currently offers coverage from 1880-2009.

The Meriam Library has been granted trial access to HeinOnline's Foreign Relations of the United States collection. This collection features the historic U.S. Department of State foreign relations documents for the administrations of President Lincoln through President Carter. The documents appear as facsimile reproductions.
Due to a system upgrade, online access to Interlibrary Services will be unavailable beginning:

The Meriam Library now has access to Early English Books Online (EEBO). Early English Books Online is a collection of early printed works published in the English language, and printed in England. All works in the collection were originally published before 1700.
Kanopy Streaming Video is currently holding a virtual film festival, which features over 120 films hosted on the Kanopy site. Producers participating in the virtual film festival include Criterion Collection, First Run Features, Kino Lorber Edu, and several others. The film festival is being held in conjunction with the Charleston Conference.
On Saturday & Sunday, November 1 & 2, the library may experience brief network outages due to the Campus Network Infrastructure Project. Outages could affect access to the library ReSEARCH Station and/or the online catalog.
Saturday -- 6:30am to 5pm.
Sunday is being reserved if additional work is needed.
Beginning Sunday, October 26, at 7:00 AM, campus wireless network services will experience downtime as systems are migrated to new wireless routing/switching engines. Actual downtime is expected to be under two hours, and it is anticipated that all maintenance activity will be complete by noon.
If we find the migration will exceed the maintenance window on Sunday, we will reschedule the migration to another weekend. The campus will then be informed.
On Saturday & Sunday, October 18 & 19, the Chancellor's Office will be undergoing some power maintenance. This maintenance is scheduled to: Start: Saturday, October 18, 2014 6:00 PM End: Sunday, October 19, 2014 9:00 AM During this time access to the following resources will be unavailable:
The Meriam Library has been given trial access to Digital Sanborn Maps, featuring maps published from 1867-1970. Sanborn maps are fire insurance maps, mapping the location and details of structures in towns and cities across the United States. The collection has historic value today for those interested in the growth and development of cities, towns and neighborhoods.
On Saturday, October 4th, the library may experience a brief network outage (up to 20 minutes) while network fiber connections are migrated to new equipment as part of the Chancellor’s Office Common Network Initiative. Maintenance is scheduled to occur between 7am and 4pm.
