Seed Library Now Open!

Meriam Library is growing—literally! Near the elevators on the second floor, you’ll find our new seed library, stocked with FREE flower, fruit, herb, and vegetable seeds to help you start your own garden. All seeds are heirloom varieties (absolutely no GMO) purchased from small BIPOC farmers. A seed library works just like a regular library: you “borrow” seeds at planting time, grow them out, and are encouraged to save and return seeds at the end of the season so others can grow too.

Got Zines? We Want 'Em!

Meriam Library is starting a Zine Collection and we’re looking for your contributions! Whether you’ve made a zine for a class project, activism, art, or just for fun, we’d love to preserve it and share it with the campus community. All zines will be stored and made available in the library’s Special Collections department

Donate your zines (any topic, any format!) and help us build a collection that celebrates student voices, creativity, and DIY culture.

Cali Visits Chico State!

Big news from the library world—Cali, the official mascot of the California State University InterLibrary Loan system—has kicked off her grand tour! Her very first stop? Right here at Chico State!

Cali’s adventure represents the journey books take as they travel between all 23 CSU campuses using our free courier system. Next up on her itinerary is Sonoma State, a library we’ve borrowed more than 250 items from since introducing Rapido, our interlibrary loan platform.
