Lantis Award Applications

The Meriam Library is pleased to announce the 2023 call for applications for the Lantis Award.

Endowed by David and Helen Lantis, this annual award provides funding for up to 3 faculty for projects which advance student success, community engagement, and scholarly or creative activity in the applicant's field. Read more about the award and the application process.

Drop-In Math Tutoring Begins August 28!

The Math Learning Lab (MLL) launches tutoring starting Monday, August 28th on the 4th floor of the library, back left corner from the elevators. The MLL provides support for most math courses; drop-in, free, multiple tutors per hour, and meant for "short term" tutoring. The MLL is a great place to do homework, strengthen or explain concepts, and reinforce good study habits.

Fall 2023 Hours: Mon-Thurs 10am-6pm and Fri 10am-2pm

Faculty Librarians Offer Research Strategies Instruction

Faculty at Meriam Library seek to lead the campus in the instruction of practices and tools designed for effective and efficient academic research. We believe that students have greater success during and after their collegiate experience when they are literate in the evaluation, construction, and synthesis of the information available to them.

The Meriam Library has implemented a new form for InterLibrary Loan requests.

If you can't find the article, book, or chapter(s) you are looking for at the Meriam Library, you can submit a request for us to locate the item from another library. To make this request, visit the InterLibrary Loan Services Page and click "Submit InterLibrary Loan Request" button. Use the form to complete your request:

In partnership with the School of Education, Meriam Library now has curriculum kits available for checkout!

 

Free Writing Tutoring in Meriam Library: Now Available on Zoom Too!

In addition to their regular services in SSC 340, the Writing Center is offering free evening drop-in writing assistance to Chico State students in the Meriam Library. Find them on the 4th floor next to the computer lab.

Monday - Thursday, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

They have friendly tutors who are trained in all stages of the writing process. Tutors can help you

  • Understand writing goals and requirements

  • Plan and get started on your writing

  • Develop and organize ideas

New Research Resources!

In support of the new CSU initiatives to support Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, the Chancellor's Office has agreed to fund FIVE archives and ONE new database! 

These holdings were identified by the CSU as valuable resources for EDI research.
