Library Education Room (MLIB 226) Priorities, Policies, Procedures & Equipment

The Library Education Room (LER) serves as the primary instruction lab for Meriam Library faculty and staff.

The purpose of the LER is to provide students with training and instruction in information literacy skills and concepts, library-related research, and large-group access to Special Collections archival and primary source instruction.

Due to the resources required for information literacy instruction and the often short turnaround in instruction requests, the Library maintains the scheduling of the Library Education Room.

Policies

The Library Education Room may not be scheduled for meetings, classes, or events for departments, organizations, or individuals outside of the Meriam Library Department without the express approval of the Library Instruction Coordinator; Head of Library Research, Instruction, and Outreach; or the Dean of Meriam Library.

The Library Systems Office maintains the audiovisual and computing hardware and software. Contact libsysoffice@csuchico.edu with problems or concerns.
