Art Source on trial through December 16.

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to Art Source.  Art Source is an expanded version of the Library's current Art Full Text database. It includes more full text titles, full text monographs, and coverage dates back to 1928.

Mango Languages on trial through November 15, 2015.

The Meriam Library has been given a two-month trial of Mango Languages.  This online resource offers self-study programs in large number of foreign languages. There are 71 languages offered -- from Arabic to Yiddish, and even American Sign Language, English and, just for fun, Pirate.  Mango emphasizes real world language skills and cultural understanding in manageable bite sized chunks.  Online voice comparison technology helps with proper pronunciation, and there are even iOS and Android apps which allow you to study your chosen language on the go.

Docuseek2 Streaming Video on trial through Nov. 17

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to the Docuseek streaming video collection. Docuseek host over 670 titles focusing on social issues. Subjects covered are wide-ranging, and include agriculture, anthropology, development, politics, and more.

Alexander Street Press streaming video on trial through Nov. 10

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to several collections of streaming videos hosted by Alexander Street Press. Thousands of titles are available to us in this trial, including collections such as 60 Minutes, Academic Video Online, the Criterion Collection, Human Rights Studies Online, Latin American in Video, PBS videos, and New World Cinema.

Digital Sanborn Maps on Trial through November 1.

The Meriam Library has been given trial access to Digital Sanborn Maps, featuring maps published from 1867-1970. Sanborn maps are fire insurance maps, mapping the location and details of structures in towns and cities across the United States. The collection has historic value today for those interested in the growth and development of cities, towns and neighborhoods.

ProQuest Congressional Content Updates On Hold March 25-April 5

The ProQuest Congressional database is currently undergoing application updates designed to enhance the user experience. The update process requires that content updates to certain publications be placed on hold until the application updates are completed. This work is being done during the period that Congress is on break, which is March 25-April 5. The publications affected are Washington Post, Congressional Quarterly Political News transcripts, and Congressional Quarterly Roll Call.
