The Meriam Library has been given a two-month trial of Mango Languages.  This online resource offers self-study programs in large number of foreign languages. There are 71 languages offered -- from Arabic to Yiddish, and even American Sign Language, English and, just for fun, Pirate.  Mango emphasizes real world language skills and cultural understanding in manageable bite sized chunks.  Online voice comparison technology helps with proper pronunciation, and there are even iOS and Android apps which allow you to study your chosen language on the go.  Also included in our trial is Mango Premier, which is a selection of streaming foreign feature films.

Mango tracks the user's progress, so in order to use Mango, users must create an account.  Please follow these instructions:

  • Connect to Mango Languages
  • Under the "Log In" button, click "Create One"
  • Enter your email address
  • Create your password
  • Your library card number is (mangolovesme) -- This is for everyone.  DO NOT ACTUALLY ENTER YOUR WILDCAT CARD NUMBER
  • Click "sign up"
