The Meriam Library has added a new database: NBC Learn Higher Education. NBC Learn Higher Ed is a collection of more than 14,000 videos, documents, images and audio files containing historical news reports, current events, primary source documents, and original content. NBC Learn Higher Ed’s resources are great for research, classroom lectures, online teaching, and can be embedded to add a multi-media dimension to student presentations or to Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard. In addition to its rich collection of historic newscasts from the NBC News archive, NBC Learn Higher Ed is updated daily with the latest current events videos from NBC News and its portfolio.
The database can be searched by topic, keyword, date, or by collections that are aligned to 28 higher education subjects. Subject collections include Business Administration, Earth Sciences, Education, Finance, Global Studies, Health & Wellness, Journalism, Marketing, Physics, Sociology, U.S. Government & Politics, U.S. History, Women’s Studies, and more.
