MERIAM LIBRARY EMBRACES CHANGE

By Erika Paulus

The Meriam Library is a second home to numerous students at Chico State. It is a place where they spend long days and late nights together. A place where people can gather, collaborate, and often rest in between classes. It is a community space, and the library faculty and staff are working hard to make sure everyone feels welcome.

Random acts of kindness

The last semester of school year is hard! It is stressful, and at times overwhelming.  We at Meriam Library are here to support you.  We provide space for research, tutoring, studying, collaboration, and relaxation. Sometimes it is the little things that can make a difference. So in addition to our De-Stress program, we have hidden cards of encouragement throughout the building. Whether you find a letter or not, we hope you finish strong!

SimplyMap on trial through March 24

SimplyMap is an Internet-based mapping application that enables users to develop interactive thematic maps and reports using thousands of demographic, business, and marketing data variables.

Black History Month in Meriam Library

February is Black History Month and the Meriam Library has designed and created a display on black women activists from the 1900s to current.  Browse the display on the second floor of the library to see a timeline of seminal events during this period, photos of women, and their inspiring quotes. On the other side of the display are a diverse assortment of books on black women and black history-all of these books can be checked out. Be sure to help yourself to a button with either inspirational words or photos of these amazing women.
